How cute is this face? Ironically, it wasn't these big brown eyes that attracted more than 150 men in Atlanta to pick up the phone and call to learn more about this adorable puppy. Rather, it was an ad in the Atlanta Journal & Constitution that read something like this:
SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me . . . Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Daisy, I'll be waiting . . .
How could this be? Every Southern man's dream when he envisions the ideal woman! While these 150 men who were looking for love thought they had died and gone to heaven, when they dialed the number listed they found they had simply gone to the Atlanta Humane Society.
Talk about clever! WebVet hats go off to this organization for finding creative, and clearly effective, ways to attract attention to pets who are in need of loving homes. What these 150 guys should know is that by making that call, they truly were looking for love in all the RIGHT places. And what I want to know is which one of these guys got "lucky" and got to curl up in bed with Daisy that night? As they say down south . . . ain't nothing better than the love of a good dog.
